このたびYUMEKOUBOU GALLERY KYOTOでは四代田辺竹雲斎展「共生Symbiosis」を開催します。
「共生 Symbiosis」は、自然の中で互いに作用しながら調和し、存在する竹と土という素材に焦点を当てています。それを四代田辺竹雲斎の主要なテーマである「循環」 や「つながり」、「守破離」といったコンセプトと融合させ、新たな価値を生み出しています。
今回は「共生」のほか「Action Clay 始壊」などの新シリーズを中心に発表します。土を着色することでより自由で多彩な表現法を獲得し、創造と破壊、白黒が表す陰陽、現在・過去・未来といった時間軸など作家自身の内的感情をより繊細に表現することに挑戦しています。
四代田辺竹雲斎は、このようなアート作品の制作を通して古くから日本で親しまれている自然素材の保護、ものづくりにおける伝統的技法の再評価や継承といった持続可能な環境作りの役割も担っています。
今展では竹と土を用いた作品を含め、約15点を展示します。

Warmly invite you to visit and experience this exhibition upcoming exhibition - “Symbiosis,” - by Chikuunsai IV Tanabe, at YUMEKOUBOU GALLERY KYOTO. The exhibition offers audiences an immersive opportunity to experience both his sculptural works and large-scale installations together within our gallery’s space.
“Symbiosis” -- two different elements existing together through mutual interaction, balance, and harmony, it can be seen on bamboo and soil as materials that naturally embody this relationship.
Deriving from the “Symbiosis” series, the exhibition focuses on his first chapter of “Symbiosis - Action Clay – Between creation and destruction” series.
By fusing color with clay, he expands the possibilities of the material. Through these works, he explores themes of creation and destruction, the balance of black and white, and the flow of time, offering a deeper expression of his inner world.
The exhibition will present approximately 15 works.
