2023年のアートフェア東京「加藤巍山展『天地開闢』」から3年——本展は、加藤巍山による渾身の作品をご覧いただく貴重な機会となりました。
新作「天・地・人」が放つ圧倒的な存在感、あふれる生命力、そして凛とした静寂は、鑑賞者を別次元の世界へと静かに引き込んでいきます。そこに立ち現れるのは、信仰や歴史、さらには宇宙観といった枠組みすらも超えていくような姿です。私たちはただ沈黙することで、その存在を受け入れることができる——そのような感覚に導かれます。
「これがアートである」「これが伝統工芸である」といった既存の概念を超え、ただ表現として在るものが、いまここに提示されています。私たちはそれに身を委ね、それぞれの感性のままに受け取るだけでよいのでしょう。本展は、「こうあるべき」という既成の価値観ではなく、より本質的な価値とは何かを見つめ直す契機となったのではないでしょうか。
In March 2026, we presented the solo exhibition “KAMNABI – A Place where the god resides” by Katoh Gizan at ART FAIR TOKYO.

Three years after “ Heaven and Earth Opening” at Art Fair Tokyo 2023, this exhibition offered a rare opportunity to experience Katoh Gizan’s most dedicated and powerful works.
The new work “TEN・CHI・JIN” emanates an overwhelming presence, brimming vitality, and a dignified stillness, gently drawing the viewer into another dimension. What emerges there seems to transcend the frameworks of faith, history, and even cosmology. Through silence, we find ourselves able to receive and accept this presence—led into such a state of awareness.
Beyond conventional notions of “art” or “traditional craft,” what is presented here simply exists as pure expression. We are invited to surrender ourselves to it, and to receive it freely, each in accordance with our own sensibilities. Rather than reaffirming established ideals of what “should be,” this exhibition may offer an opportunity to reconsider what constitutes essential value.
