Liu Junru
Born in 1999 in Dalian, China, the artist moved to Japan in 2018. She received her BFA in Oil Painting from Kyoto Seika University in 2024 and completed her MFA in Oil Painting at Kyoto City University of Arts in 2026. She currently lives and works in Kyoto. Her practice centers on the motif of the house and the landscapes of memory. Through a process of repeatedly applying and wiping away layers of oil paint, subtle colors accumulate beneath seemingly thin surfaces, creating a space between presence and absence. By rendering houses in geometric and ambiguous forms, she approaches memory as a universal sensation rather than depicting a specic place.
Her work explores how memories of home exist in a vague yet deeply rooted way and invites viewers to recall their own personal experiences and emotional connections with the idea of home.
FURUTANI KAZUYA EXHIBITION「孵化の時 Hatcing Time」
Date : 2026.3.25 - 29
Venue : Central Harbourfront 9 Lung Wo Road Hong Kong
【The Time of Hatching】
"Broken Jar"
Using the power of fire to shatter my own shell.
"Hatching Time"
To break it by my own strength.
Until now, I have sought functional beauty, facing the clay.
But now, I listen only to my inner voice.
The pain and the joy of bringing something into being.
My hands naturally formed a shape, and into its hollow space;
A small inner voice.
What was born feels like a sprit on the verge of breaking its shell and opening itself to new meaning.
Even person carries an inner voice.
The thing I created was like myself.
In March 2026, we held the MAD Exhibition.
The MAD Exhibition is a collaborative project between Yumekobo and Swanky Systems, showcasing the appeal of designers’ furniture and art. Rather than presenting each piece individually, the exhibition is curated with careful attention to the designers’ and architects’ concepts and intentions, creating a cohesive display through a considered balance of form, composition, and color. While the atmosphere may feel somewhat extraordinary, the furniture on display is by no means detached from everyday life. Each piece is thoughtfully designed for long-term use, combining functional ingenuity with refined, minimalist aesthetics.
Beyond their beauty, these works are distinguished by the clarity of their underlying philosophy and context, giving them a timeless quality that is less susceptible to shifting trends and values. All furniture exhibited consists of authentic pieces, many of which are rare and highly valuable.

ONOGAWA NAOKI EXHIBITION
「Silent Prayer」
Date : 2026.1.23 - 25
Venue : Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre
【Naoki Onogawa】
Born in Tokyo in January 1991.
Known for his signature work 'Cranes Tree', the artist has been deeply familiar with origami since childhood. While studying in Tokyo, he was profoundly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake of March 11, 2011. A visit the following year to Rikuzentakata in Iwate prefecture further impressed upon him the overwhelming power of nature, as well as the resilience and vitality of people living within it. These experiences became the catalyst for creating works centered on the origami crane. He positions the crane as a solemn symbol of 'prayer', imbuing his works with a delicate and mysterious beauty.
