四代田辺竹雲斎の地元である大阪・堺市が開催する万博イベントにおいて、竹で編んだアート茶室「竹空庵」が展示されました。

堺市は田辺竹雲斎の地元であり、茶の湯を大成した千利休の生まれ育った地域でもあります。堺市の伝統文化や地域の魅力を発信するために制作されたアート茶室において、呈茶やトークショーが開催。来場者の皆さんは、特別な空間で一期一会のお茶を楽しんだようです。

At the Expo event held in Sakai City, Osaka, the hometown of Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, an art teahouse made of woven bamboo, "竹空庵" was exhibited. (Ended on 13 May.)
Sakai City is the hometown of Tanabe Chikuunsai IV, and is also the birthplace of Sen no Rikyu, who perfected the art of tea ceremony. Tea ceremonies and talk shows were held in the art teahouse, which was created to promote Sakai City's traditional culture and the charm of the region. Visitors seemed to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime tea experience in a special space.
